CELTIC youngster Lewis Morgan was an unused substitute during Sunderland’s 4-2 win over Gillingham.

The Celtic loanee started his first two games for the English side but found himself on the bench for the Black Cats previous game where the Scottish midfielder came on as a substitute.

On Tuesday night, the player was not called upon as Sunderland turned a 2-2 half time result into a 4-2 win with two penalties coming in the second half.

It was former Celtic star Aiden McGeady who sealed the victory with his 77th minute penalty to make sure of all three points for Jack Ross and his side.

Hopefully, Lewis will get back into the team for the weekend and show what he can do. The player impressed on his debut but now must fight in training to make sure he gets the most out of the loan move to the Stadium of Light.

Celtic’s former £9million man showing he still has a few golden moments in him as he looks to help get his team promoted to the Championship.
