Luis Palma finally got his first Champions League goal this evening, bagging against Atletico Madrid. It was a thorough finish from the Honduran internationalist, who will be eager to build upon his maiden European strike for the Hoops.
Indeed after the match, Palma spoke to the media. He revealed what gaffer Brendan Rodgers said to him and his teammates.
It appears the Irishman gave a vastly positive message. Palma told CeltsAreHere: “It’s just to keep learning. He congratulated us for getting the point but in this type of game we have to keep learning.”
So far in the Champions League, the Hoops have continually progressed. Against Lazio, there were clear signs of improvement and yet again, they were there this evening.
Hoops fans will hope that in Madrid, their team can hit even higher heights and take something away from the Spanish capital. If they are to gain any sort of European football after Christmas, doing so is vital.
