A makeshift Scottish side managed a 4-0 win over Albania away from home after their Celtic contingent sparked them into life.
With so many call offs for various reasons it was down to some of Celtic’s on-form players to do the business and they certainly did that.
James Forrest bagged a brace to ensure victory on the night and Scotland ran riot over a ten man Albania.
Goals from Ryan Fraser and Steven Fletcher got the wheels in motion and with Scotland flying, James Forrest managed to bring his club form to his international side.

Scotland could now top their group with a win over Israel on Tuesday and the question is will McLeish put the faith in the same players who have given him some much needed breathing space after the win in Albania.
For Celtic fans, however, this is more about Christie, McGregor and Forrest coming back fit and raring to go for next weekend’s Hamilton tie followed swiftly by a visit to Norway.
