According to reports Daniel Arzani second scan has confirmed his initial diagnosis which will see the player be out for as long as nine months.

Brendan Rodgers spoke on Friday about waiting on the second scan before putting the wheels into motion over the Australian’s treatment.

With the injury all but confirmed it’s now up to Manchester City and Celtic to thrash out a plan to get the midfielder playing as soon as possible.

It was an unfortunate slip just 22 minutes into Daniel’s debut against Dundee that has ruled the player out for so long.

After being built up in the Celtic reserves the player looked ready to make an impact and almost got his first assist before the injury struck.

Celtic have Arzani on-loan until the end of the 19/20 season so all is not lost.

The Parkhead club would probably prefer Daniel’s recovery be overseen by their staff but like Patrick Roberts last season, the winger ended back at the Etihad for the majority of his treatment before travelling back to Scotland for light training and brought to full fitness.
