in the wake of Adam Idah’s recent signing with Celtic, an intriguing aspect of the announcement has caught the attention of the club’s astute fanbase. Notably, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has remained conspicuously silent on the club’s official website regarding Idah’s acquisition. This departure from the norm has sparked curiosity and speculation among supporters, especially given that manager comments typically accompany player signings.

This observation becomes even more pronounced when compared to the recent transfer of Nicolas Kuhn. In Kuhn’s case, Rodgers openly shared his enthusiasm about working with the new recruit, as is customary during such announcements. The absence of Rodgers’ input on Idah’s signing, therefore, raises questions about the dynamics of this latest transfer.

Celtic fans, known for their keen attention to detail, have not missed this unusual silence. It has led to speculation about whether this transfer was a strategic choice or a last-minute effort to bolster the squad as the transfer window closed. Considering the rushed nature of the deal, which materialised and concluded within a mere 48 hours, it’s possible that Idah’s signing was more a matter of urgency than a long-planned strategy.

Questions linger about Rodgers’ views on this acquisition. Is he satisfied with Idah as a choice for the team, or were there different expectations or targets in mind? These are questions that only Rodgers can answer, and it seems the Celtic fans will have to wait for his next press interaction for any possible insights.

It is worth noting, since the initial announcement, more comments have been posted from Adam himself and one reads: ‘I also spoke to Brendan and we had an exciting talk. Being such a big manager, it will benefit me a lot.”

Rodgers is expected to address the media on Friday, in the lead-up to Saturday’s important match against Aberdeen. This press conference will be closely watched, not only for the usual pre-match analysis but also for any comments Rodgers may make about Idah’s arrival at Celtic and the transfer window as a whole. It is in these moments that the manager’s perspective on the transfer, and his plans for integrating Idah into the team, will become clearer.

  1. Agree Dando, this amounts to negligence and incompetence and I may add greed by the Board and those tasked with transfer dealings, and we all know who they are.. Rodgers needs to grow a pair and insist on being responsible for approving any signings just like Ange. If not then he will probably walk again. Our Directors are an embarrassment to Celtic and every attempt should be made to remove them, starting with the Lawell’s.. We all love our Celtic strips and souvenir’s but all we are doing is handing our hard earned money to these parasites

  2. Be aware! before st are up for renewal we will be told that £30/40 million will be available for transfers DON’T fall for tripe it happens every season realistically we’ll be lucky if they give £10 MILLION
