Celtic have named their first starting XI of 2024 as they come up against St Mirren and it’s a start for Maik Nawrocki!

The defender made his reintroduction to the side during the 2-1 Glasgow Derby win at the weekend and with both CCV and Stephen Welsh out injured, the big man gets a start alongside Liam Scales.

Elsewhere, it’s as you were for the Celtic team who soundly beat their Glasgow rivals.

Goal heroes Bernardo and Kyogo keep their places and Palma is on the wing with Maeda on the other.

Abada and Hatate are both on the bench once again after overcoming serious injuries this season. Depending on how the game goes, both men could see action in Paisley.

Celtic can maintain their eight point lead at the top of the table if they can get the win against the Buddies.

It won’t be easy with the St Mirren side impressing in the league and they have taken points off Celtic in the most so distant past.

The game kicks off at 5pm and is on Sky Sports.
