NEIL LENNON has provided an extensive injury update on his squad and where everybody stands at the current time. Speaking to CelticTV the Irishman delivered news about key players including Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths among others.

“We’re looking healthy – we have no fresh injuries. There’s a few bumps and bruises, Moritz  ankle is still a little bit swollen. Nir Bitton is back in training now, Mikey Johnston is back in training now, so the only long-term absentee is Jozo.

“Tom Rogic has a tiny little bit of fluid around the knee but he should train on Wednesday. Griff is back in training now but obviously he has missed a few weeks of training but in terms of squad depth we’re good.”

Great to hear Leigh is back in training – the bhoy can’t catch a break when it comes to injuries. The striker has scored three goals this season but has found himself on the bench more often than not and in games where he could’ve played a part he’s suffered a set back in training.

Tom Rogic has just come back from injury and he got 90 minutes against Partick Thistle on Wednesday – scoring a goal in the process. Tom will have to be managed to get the best out of him this season.

Bitton is a utility player and will serve a purpose to give Scott Brown and Callum McGregor some relief with the defensive positions now covered.

It’s unlikely Leigh will play a part in the Cluj game but might fins himself on the bench as back-up because Bayo is suspended from the trip to Rennes.
