Neil Lennon has talked up the prospect of Celtic winger James Forrest returning soon and spoke how much he has been missed over the last few months, whilst also revealing his delighted at youngster Mikey Johnston finally making his return to the side.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the Northern Irishman revealed that Forrest isn’t too far away from coming back into training after surgery on his ankle which has seen him out since Septemeber and also touched on the impact that both the veteran winger and Mikey Johnston can have making their returns.

Forrest, in particular, is one player who has faced a lot of stick from supporters in recent times but since being out with his long-term injury it is clear the 28-year old has been a massive miss to the side.

We have struggled to even play anyone in that Forrest shaped hole, as the likes of Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Christie have filled in at times.

Having Mikey Johnston back is another huge boost to the side, after making a recovery from an injury that took place around a year ago. He really showed last season what he was really about and will be looking to kick on from here.

Fingers crossed we can see both in the side, in no time.
