NEIL LENNON has told Celtic fans where he’d like to shop this summer to get his team ready for next season and most importantly the Champions League qualifiers.

Neil has a short space for time to get his ducks in a row so he can be ready to compete for a place in the group stages of the Champions League.

Speaking after being formally announced as the Celtic boss on Friday, the manager has a clear vision of where he ‘d like to get his players from but is unsure how realistic that will be.

“Recruitment will be important, we want to freshen things up a little bit. You like to bring British players in but the market can be a bit inflated now because of what’s going on in England.” he told CelticTV.

“That was always the case with the English Premier League but we felt we did some good business at the time.

“There are players in the British market who would appeal to us. We are working hard and we’ll do our business quietly and as quickly as we can.”

Celtic have been linked with a lot of young players down south at the minute who are either coming to the end of their contract or not signed a professional deal as of yet.

FIFA rules mean Celtic players like that across the border to Scotland would incur minimal costs. The club landed Moussa Dembele from Fulham three years back, so there are players certainly good enough in the Championship if we look hard enough.
