NEIL LENNON has effectively banned Sky Sports from interviewing him or any of his players until further notice or until he gets an apology from Andy Walker.

The Celtic manager was irate Andy branded the Dubai trip as a ‘jolly’ and believes the club has been misrepresented by Walker and his lies on Sky Sports TV.

The pair have never got on and have regular verbally sparred in the press.

For the most part, Celtic fans don’t have much time for Walker who has for the most part, tried to find every negative going during the four trebles which have been won.

Celtic fans are conflicted because most don’t agree with the trio and have already lived the consequence of the decision to go.

What Neil Lennon is getting at is his players were portrayed as being out on Holiday for a week when the snaps which circulated on the first day of their trip was their only day off and they were having some down time.

Walker categorising the whole thing as a holiday and demanding an apology on behalf of the Celtic support has not gone down well with the Irishman.

“What I want is for you to go speak to Andy and for Andy to apologise because he was demanding apologies from the club. I want an apology from Andy because he is questioning my professional integrity, my players professional integrity and the use of the word term ‘jolly’ is quite crass and arrogant.” The Celtic manager told GlasgowLive.

“He accused the club of being arrogant, we weren’t. We had no intention of being arrogant or rubbing it in anyone’s faces. We went out to do a good week’s work and get a volume of work we wouldn’t have got here in Scotland. Until then, you won’t be getting anything from me or my players.

“Who is Andy speaking for then? Does he speak for the Celtic support? Is he all of a sudden a man of the people? Challenging the club’s social ethos. Andy has been in the game here for 20/30 years and he’s made no contribution to Celtic whatsoever.”

We will now see if the club will stick by Neil in his promise not to give interviews to Sky Sports. The broadcaster is covering the Livingston game on Wednesday night when there should be a pre and post match interview with the manager.

  1. As you know, I totally agree with Lenny here.
Whether you think Lennon should go or not and I think everyone by now think it’s time for change, this is another matter.
W@#ker is an anti-Celtic, soup taking, wee rat faced blow hard.
He’s never had a good word to say about our club, quite the opposite, he’s always there to stir the pot on the ugly mobs behalve for a greasy buck.
Celtic, Lawwell, Lennon, any staff or player did NOT break any rules here.
This training camp was prearranged months in advance, both by the Scottish Government and the Scottish football authorities.
Wee Nichola can kick up a fuss to cover her own wee blue nose all she wants, but she rubber stamped it.
It was a training camp no different from that practised over the last few years. Was Rogers Dubai training camp a ‘jolly’?
Of course not! And if anyone had suggested such there would have been an uproar!
W@#lker is a snake who has seen the opportunity to jump on the band wagon to rip into Celtic, full-stop.
This bull about his sudden concern for the Celtic support….GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!
He hasn’t been slow in letting rip into the Celtic support in the past and as for condemning anything coming from the dreggs of human society at ibrox, forget it!

Celtic are guilty of gross ill-judgement in this matter, no more, no less and I think that’s more than enough.
As for w@#lker all of a sudden being the moral spokes person for the Celtic support, I’m not sorry about having a functioning memory about exactly who and what this little p?1ck is.
I would have had him barred, along with a few others, from CP a long long time ago!
