NEIL LENNON has had to address his own ‘Hampden hoodoo’ for Celtic as manager. During his first spell in charge, there were a couple of notable defeats to Kilmarnock in the final and St Mirren in the semifinals at Hampden.

Celtic dominated both games but in the end came up short. Brendan Rodgers’ side have had no such problem getting over the line and with the former Celtic manager at the helm they never lost a cup game – a pretty impressive stat.

Neil Lennon takes Brendan Rodgers’ side to Hampden tomorrow in the hope of getting a big win against the Dons. The Irishman admits whatever his outside was missing, Brendan Rodgers remedied that when he came into the club

“You think is it a psychological thing? There was a 3-2 defeat to St Mirren in a semi-final when we missed a penalty and that changed the psychology when we were well on top. But whatever I missed Brendan obviously remedied with this squad of players.” The Irishman added  as he spoke to the Scotsman “I might be giving him a call tonight or tomorrow just to get a bit of advice from him…”

Celtic could make more history if they manage to get into the final with a triple treble the prize up for grabs if they can do the business.

The league is just weeks away from being sealed and it’s all about the Hampden tie. With the team not playing their best football this season as of late, it could be a struggle against a dogged Dons side who are our for revenge after the League Cup final.

However, if the bhoys turn up with their heads screwed on, there should only be one winner – no need for phone calls to snakes!
