NEIL LENNON has had a go at critics of managers and the pressure which is put on them when things aren’t goi well.

Speaking about himself and Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes, the Hoops boss believes it’s very unfair the way men in the hot seat are treated through difficult spells.

Lennon has been in self preservation mode for a while and has been constantly fighting his corner, which you would expect, however, some of the stuff being said in the park four months have been bordering on the ridiculous.

“Pre-empting answers, being aggressive and talking about people losing their jobs and pre-empting other people coming in to take over. I think it’s very unfair.” The bhoys gaffer told SunSport.

“Managers shouldn’t have to defend themselves all the time when things aren’t going well.”

Speaking about the press conference after the Dubai trip when the Irishman came out of ten day isolation period to go full guns blazing, he believes the way he was portrayed was ‘rubbish’.

“I had a 23-question interview 30 minutes before that game.

“Rubbish

“Then I was accused of walking away. That created a totally wrong narrative.

“I was there, answered every question as best I could and still the narrative was, ‘Oh, he’s stormed off’. It’s absolute rubbish.”

Celtic have blew their chance at ten in a row through poor decision making among other things.

Neil Lennon has put so much emphasis on fans not being in the grounds and this being an outlier season rather than anything he’s done. Now that is rubbish.
