Every cloud is said to have a silver lining and in Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Aberdeen on Saturday, the performances of substitute duo Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn stood out positively. It was the latter who drew the Hoops level, combining with fellow January recruit Idah before firing home.

The pair made a noteworthy impact on the game; Idah brought physicality and power up top meanwhile Kuhn was direct and effective out wide.

They linked up well at times, and it comes as no surprise that fans want them to get the nod this Wednesday against Hibs at Easter Road.

Returning to form is a must for The Bhoys in Leith but after Saturday’s clash at Pittodrie, Kuhn spoke out. The German wide-man was asked about his partnership with Idah: “We did some positive stuff”, he said (The Celtic Way).

“We linked up and I am hoping you will see even more in the coming weeks.”

On Saturday’s game, the pair made a hugely positive impact, remaining quick and effective in attack. Whether the same rings true when they play together from the start remains to be seen, but there is only one way for Brendan Rodgers to find out.
