Southampton manager has shut down any suggestion that on-loan Celtic winger, Mohamed Elyounoussi could be heading back to his parent club this month.

As reported by the Glasgow Times, the Austrian confirm that Elyounoussi wouldn’t be making a return down south, despite the injury crisis that his side finds themselves in at the minute in wide areas.

Currently, the Saints find themselves without top names such as Nathan Redmond, Moussa Djenepo and more first-team stars, so some fans have called for the club to bring the Norwegian back to St Mary’s for ahead of their game against Arsenal at the weekend.

However, despite saying they will need to consider who they send out in future, Hassenhutl also confirmed that Moi won’t be making an early return at this stage.

Elyounoussi has arguably been one of the Hoops stronger performers this season, as top scorer scoring 15 goals with his most recent being the goal to bring Neil Lennon’s side on level terms against Livingston on Wednesday.

It would be a huge blow to lose Elyounoussi this month with the quality he provides but at the minute it doesn’t appear he’ll be headed anywhere.
