KYOGO FURUHASHI is enjoying some downtime after more international disappointment. The Celtic striker wasn’t called up for Japan despite being the most prolific Japanese goalscorer in European football.

It might be a tough pill to swallow for the Celtic hero, but he’s getting on with it ahead of Celtic’s title run-in, which begins this weekend.

On his time out, the Japanese forward posted up a wholesome video of himself and a young lad kicking the ball about out the backdoor while the Scottish weather does its thing.

The most remarkable thing about Kyogo is his positive attitude when it comes to setbacks. He has already told Celtic fans he used his World Cup heartache to fuel his growing Celtic goal spree.

Having been left out of the winter tournament, Kyogo decided to go even harder at Celtic and managed to back his second brace in a League Cup final to win the trophy. Kyogo put The Rangers to the sword back at the end of February, and as we get ready for the final nine games of the SPFL season, his goals have helped the bhoys secure a nine-point lead.

At least he’s not bothered by the weather during his time off.
