CELTIC take on Aberdeen less than 72 hours removed from the massive game against Lazio where the bhoys came from a goal behind to win the tie.

It was Christoper Jullien with one minute left of normal time who put the ball into the back of the net and sent the Celtic fans home absolutely buzzing.

It’s back to league duty now and the last two Celtic away days have ended in a draw and defeat for the Scottish Champions – form that won’t win them nine in a row.

Southampton loan star Mohamed Elyounoussi has only been at Celtic Park a short time but he understands those away day results were not acceptable.

Aberdeen away is one of the hardest away games of the SPFL calendar and the bhoys must forget about Thursday night as they go for all three points up north.

“At Celtic, that is not acceptable and it’s something we have to remedy. We are going there to do our best to win the game.” Mohamed told SunSport.

“We can’t let our standards drop the way we did at Livingston after Cluj. Everyone has to be ready for the game.

“The Aberdeen game is as important as the Lazio one and I’m sure we can maintain the level.”

Aberdeen had a bit of a poor start to the season but have rallied in recent weeks and they don’t need any extra motivation when the champions come to town. It will be a gritty affair at Pittodrie and the bhoys must be ready for a very different type of game than the Lazio tie.
