At this time of year, transfer speculation is widespread in the world of football. Particularly at Celtic, there seems to be a plethora of players linked with moves to and from the club.
This summer, one player who could be on his way out is Bosun Lawal.
Lawal joined the Hoops from Watford in 2021 but has yet to make any real inroads towards the first team and has predominantly turned out for the B side.
He was recently linked with a move to Portsmouth although the club’s manager, John Mousinho, has quashed these rumours (The News via Bristol World): “There’s nothing in that, I don’t know where it has come from.”
This is clear evidence that some transfer links can be completely untrue.
Lawal is a big talent but he is evidently not on the radar of Pompey. Bristol City’s interest in the 20-year-old, though, is yet to be rubbished.
That could be where his future lies but there is still plenty of time left in the summer window for things to be decided.
