It’s officially an end of an era, Celtic are no longer champions of Scotland.

It’s a painful moment for the support and the club but there now has to be action and intent from the decision makers at the club.

A season that offered up history didn’t really get started. It’s not been good enough.

We all know the multitude of reasons why we lost our crown this season, but if this is to be a blip in our otherwise dominance on Scottish football, we must not shy away from the problems at our club.

We need a new direction, a new philosophy and a new manager who will galvanise the support as well as the team.

We need openness, transparency and right now we need our majority shareholder to address the support.

Our next correspondence from Dermot cannot be a template letter sent out to season ticket holders.

Will he be feeling the pain of all the Celtic fans? It’s hard to imagine he is, but if he cares at all, then now is the time to let us know the way forward.

  1. With the chance to salvage pride and not let the support down AGAIN, the team bottled it.
    Id keep Ajer & Turnbull.
The rest dont deserve to stay including the massively overrated Christie & McGregor.
Dark , dark days and our pathetic “challenge” this season gives no encouragement for next season

  2. When you see Frimpongs comments about going for 10 you can see where the problems are. The leaders at Celtic should have conveyed this to the others what an important season this was. I know we can’t win every time but that was a total embarrassment of a season. Ever time you thought it couldn’t have gotten worse, hey the players go to prove us wrong. We need the new manager in and in soon and it needs to be somebody new with a way to motivate players. Lets not clear out all the players, I think a good few times players were played out of position. We need to take this as anew start and see what the new gaffer can bring in, he/she might just get the best out of players that this coaching staff just couldn’t.

  3. We need a manager in tomorrow. We can’t wait till the summer when McKay comes in and appoints a DoF to start looking for a manager.
This is when Desmond needs to step up and do his job as he did in 2016.
If we wait till august to appoint a manager, we’ll be out of the CL and struggling in the league before it’s even started.
