Celtic have tonight released a statement slamming the governing body for their lack of consistency in dealing with disciplinary measures.

The club have responded to Ryan Christie’s ban after a fast track hearing ruled he did engage in foul play by grabbing Alfredo Morelos.

The only problem is, we saw the exact same incident, with the exact two same people in a previous fixture where Alfredo Morelos wasn’t taken to task. Now we have a scenario where the Ibrox club and their players have been allowed to push a false narrative which is guiding the SFA’s decision making.

Celtic have released this strongly worded statement.

“Celtic Football Club and Ryan Christie are extremely disappointed at the outcome of the hearing today.

“Given the recent treatment of Celtic players and the lack of sanctions being imposed on those responsible, the fact that a sanction has been imposed on Ryan for the incident in question demonstrates a worrying lack of consistency in the Scottish FA fast track process.

“Naturally, we will be contacting the Scottish FA regarding our concerns. Scottish football deserves a disciplinary process which is fair, consistent and fit for purpose.”

Many Celtic fans have been desperate for the club to grow a backbone when it comes to the SFA and the way they do business.

Even though Celtic have released a statement we expect very little to happen and Ryan will have to serve his ban.

All players should be held to account for incidents but the scatter gun approach by the hapless SFA give way to the possibility there’s something else at work – whether that’s true or not.

  1. Total and absolute farce. It’s about time the Celtic board stood up to sfa. Tell sfa our players will NOT be available for any Scotland international, lets see how far they get.

  2. To little to l8 fay ra mighty tic board………….this will undoubtably be settled on the street…………and the manky hun will be moaning about being beatin again……….Hail Hail.

  3. Celtic cannot be allowed to make it 10in a row. The British Establishment will make sure it doesn’t happen. Uefa won’t get involved. Sfa are involved. Level 5pr working a treat. Straight after the game against Sevco it went into overdrive with spin and deflection. All we can do is send a strong worded letter.
I hope we really push the boat out and get in some real quality. Buying genuine proven quality players is the only way we can stop them. Nice boys who might make it as a player one day are not going to get us the ten. Hail! Hail!
