Celtic return to Hampden this weekend for the first time since they secured a world record eighth treble last June.

The heat was searing on that sunny day that saw the Hoops defeat Inverness 3-1 to win the Scottish Cup.

Brendan Rodgers’ men can take a big step towards retaining the famous old trophy when they face Aberdeen on Saturday at the national stadium.

The SFA have confirmed the officials for the game, which kicks off at 12.30 pm. Don Robertson is the man in the middle with Graeme Stewart and Steven Traynor set to run the lines.

David Dickinson will take up fourth official duties and Greg Aitken will be on VAR, assisted by Andrew McWilliam.

Gaffer Rodgers has never lost at Hampden. His record in Glasgow’s southside is incredible; in five visits, he has won every time.

The Irishman will want to make it six from six this weekend in the Cup, which comes as a welcomed distraction from the blood, sweat, and tears of the title race.
