Celtic reportedly face fresh competition to Ermin Mahmić, with PAOK now said to have made contact with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
According to inFotbal, the Greek side have already spoken with the 21-year-old as they look to strengthen their attack before the transfer window closes.
PAOK are said to be looking for an attacking midfielder following the departure of Giannis Konstantelias to Borussia Dortmund, and Mahmić has now emerged as a serious target.
However, despite the interest, no official offer has yet arrived at Slovan Liberec from PAOK.
That means Celtic remain in the race, with the Hoops already in talks with the Czech side over a possible move.
The latest report from Czechia suggests PAOK are now expected to push further over the coming days, which could put more pressure on Celtic to get a deal agreed rapidlu.
Mahmić has attracted plenty of interest this summer after a brilliant year for club and country.
Basel, Salzburg and Toulouse were also believed to be interested earlier this summer, but the player reportedly turned down those options.
The attacking midfielder has also seen his value rise rapidly since joining Slovan Liberec on a free transfer last summer.
He then went on to impress at the World Cup with Bosnia and Herzegovina, scoring twice and putting himself firmly on the radar of clubs across Europe.
Reports suggest a potential deal could be worth around €8 million including bonuses.
The fact PAOK have now spoken with the player adds concern for Celtic, but with no official offer from the Greek side yet, the Hoops still have a strong chance to get the deal done.
The next few days now look decisive, with Celtic needing to decide how far they are willing to go to land a player they have been tracking closely in recent months.
