Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted that changes will be made for the league leaders next match against St Johnstone due to players not performing.

Rotation was a key part of the Hoops success during the run of games in a short period of time but it now looks as though the manager will look to shake things up based on the performance against Livingston.

Much like the victory away to Aberdeen, the Scottish champions were dominant in the game but failed to take their chances and put the game to bed.

On a number of occasions during the game, the ball was flashed across the six yard box and there was nobody there to take advantage which appeared to deeply frustrate the manager.

There was only one change made from the weekend’s win at Pittodrie as Daizen Maeda was replaced by Liel Abada who had looked good off the bench against the Dons and earned himself a man of the match award. He did have the ball in the back of the net but it was controversially ruled out by VAR.

“We need more bodies in there and we didn’t have enough tonight. We didn’t really take control of the game as we could have and were just a bit anxious about things,” said Postecoglou as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I said a few weeks ago that I won’t be talking about VAR anymore. They have made the decision and we take it. I think on performance alone there will be some changes, for sure.”

Celtic have a strong squad and it’s important that the boss uses it to the best of advantage which changes expected due to the busy schedule of fixtures.

No player should feel comfortable that their jersey is a given for any game.
