REO HATATE was in need of a rest today, that was clear as on Sunday.

He struggled to keep up the game, he just looked exhausted. The Japanese star has already admitted that he is feeling the consequences of playing a full season in Japan, as well as the olympics. Saying he is mentally and physically tired.

It’s only Reo’s second season as a professional footballer, but his quality is clear to see. A long rest followed by a pre-season with the team will do the player the world of good.

Overall, the team played well as they were held to a draw against their foes. A draw is probably a fair reflection of how the match played out.

Postecoglou will be happy with the draw, knowing the Hoops maintain their lead at the top and still hold the driving seat for the league.

Celtic can Confirm the league is theirs when they play Dundee United at Tannadice, unless The Rangers slip up at the weekend.

  1. Hetate is far too lightweight for these games. In fact so is our whole midfield. Just not good enough to be hanging on for a draw at home so close to a deserved defeat in the Cup. Had a full week to prepare while they are still in Europa League Semis.
Callum McGregor needs to do much more in these games
