Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has opened up on Hoops midfielder Tom Rogic’s return from injury after the Socceroos man was forced off during our last outing against Ross County.

Taking our minds back to before the winter break, it didn’t look great for the 29-year old, after being on the end of a nasty challenge at Parkhead, which also resulted in the travelling side going down to 10 men.

However, Rogic has made a swift return to action after not heading off the player with his international side last month and appears to be back in contention for a starting place.

Speaking at yesterday’s press conference, Ange explained, “If we had a game last week, he wouldn’t have played.

He didn’t train at all last week, so, after the knock, he struggled but, having again a long week, he didn’t train on Monday or was it Tuesday, but he has put in a couple of sessions now and feels pretty good. He’s available again.”

It is another big boost for Ange Postecoglou and his side to have Rogic return, not only for this weekend’s game but also the remaining fixtures we have over the next few weeks.

With Ange’s comments post-Ross County, it sounds like Rogic had taken a nasty injury. But thankfully, he has made a recovery in time to be available for potentially our biggest game of the season on Sunday.

Postecoglou now has a number of decisions on his hands, with several first-team stars making a return at the right time.
