ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed that Nir Bitton has returned to training on Friday and is expected to train on Saturday. Josip Juranovic is stilled sidelined for at least the following week.

The Celtic manager confirmed that it’s a clean bill of health for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby except for the right-back.

Speaking during Friday’s pre-match press conference, the Celtic manager confirmed; [Celtic TV]

Juranovic is still out; we’ll see how he goes over the next week or so. Bitton trained this morning and got through training, and he should be okay. We still have training tomorrow. Aside from that, everyone else is fine from last week.

Having Bitton back is a huge boost, his ability to slow the game down and command the team missed the middle of the pitch during the last encounter at Hampden. Having him as an option to come off the bench is excellent.

It’s also pleasing to hear Ange say that Josip Juranovic will be assessed next week, hinting he could be back for the final couple of games of the season.

It’s a big game for Celtic, and if they win it, they can all but wrap up the title. A loss isn’t a disaster, but it does give The Rangers some belief heading into the final three games. It would also apply pressure to Celtic, needing to be almost perfect with the gap just at three points.

Postecoglou and the players will be keen to get the three points and put the title beyond doubt.
