Celtic’s title hopes took a major boost on Wednesday evening as Rangers stumbled to a goalless draw in Dundee.

The Hoops are now three points clear at the Scottish Premiership’s summit going into the final five games of the campaign.

They are current favourites for the title but nothing is said and done yet. There is still a wealth of football to be played as the split approaches.

Pundit Rory Loy, though, can’t help but see the title returning to Paradise next month. Last night’s result on the East Coast firmed the former Falkirk striker’s belief about the final destination of the Premiership trophy.

He said: [BBC Scottish Football Podcast] “Before Sunday, I would have said it was 50/50.

“After tonight, I’m 85% certain that Celtic will win the league title.”

Brendan Rodgers’ men can’t afford to count their chickens before the eggs hatch but for the past few weeks, there has been a growing sense of optimism surrounding the club.

Performances and results have taken a turn for the better in recent times but there is a long way to go yet before anything is decided.
