Transfer season will soon be upon us and for Ange Postecoglou and Celtic, there is already a number of speculation and links flying around.

On Thursday night, we told you how the Hoops are interested in Japanese attacking midfielder Ryotaro Ito and in the same Daily Record report, Celtic were linked with another player.

Diego Valoyes is a right winger who plays his football for CA Talleres in the Argentinian top flight.

The 25 year old is about to enter fourth year at the club and throughout his time with Talleres, he has made 129 appearances, scoring 24 goals and assisting a further 17.

A Colombia international, Valoyes has six caps for his nation.

The extent of Celtic’s interest in the winger is yet unknown although he will have one year left on his deal come the summer which usually means a cut-price deal is available.

His signing would be a shrewd one and yet another indicator of Celtic’s utilisation of rather untapped markets for the club under Ange Postecoglou.
