Celtic are on the brink of making history by becoming the first team in world football to win eight trebles. Under the guidance of manager Ange Postecoglou, Celtic could make this a season to remember. Celtic fans have turned Hampden into their home away from home in the past decade, and they are set to receive the majority of tickets for the Scottish Cup final against Caley Thistle on June 3.

Caley Thistle, who secured their spot in the final with a 3-0 victory over League One Falkirk, will be offered up to 10,000 tickets. [SunSport] Meanwhile, the Bhoys will be given the lion’s share of Hampden’s 51,800 capacity.

Meaning there could be just shy of 40k Celts inside the stadium! That would mean HCTS members would be sorted with the chance of a wider sale.

The official ticket allocations and kick-off time will be confirmed following lengthy discussions between the SFA, the clubs, broadcasters BBC Scotland and Viaplay, and Police Scotland. A surprising lunch-time start has been suggested by broadcasting companies to avoid clashing with the FA Cup final at Wembley, featuring both Manchester clubs for the first time in history.

Police Scotland reportedly favour an early kick-off if there’s a will to move from the traditional 3 pm slot. This could result in a 12:15, 12:30, or 1 pm start, sparking immediate outrage from Caley Thistle and Celtic supporters. There’s also frustration at the idea of Scotland’s most prestigious match of the season being effectively pushed aside to accommodate English football’s main event. A tea-time kick-off at 5 pm or 5:30 pm remains an alternative option on the table.

Celtic booked their place in the final by knocking The Rangers out at the semi-final stage. A goal from Hoops winger Jota was enough to beat Michael Beale’s side on the day.
