NEIL LENNON set speculation alight last week when he was spotted at the Hawthorns with former assistant manager Garry Parker.

The Irishman’s surprise visit to the English outfit set tongues wagging and put him as bookies third favourite to take over the West Brom job which is currently vacant.

However, according to MailSport, the interim Celtic manager was there in an official capacity for Celtic as he ran the rule over West Brom’s Rekeem Harper.

Harper, 19, is out of contract in the summer and the player was on Lee Congerton’s hit list before he moved to Leicester. Neil Lennon was having a closer look at him and now it looks like Celtic are very keen on bringing the central midfielder in with MailSport also confirming the player and his reps were guests of the club on trophy day.

Is this an indication Neil Lennon is being allowed to plan for the future himself or maybe he’s getting a new role at the club scouting if he doesn’t get the manager’s job.
