Brendan Rodgers expressed his delight with Nicolas Kuhn’s impact this afternoon at Celtic Park against St. Johnstone.

Despite a difficult few months since joining in January, Kuhn was a standout against Craig Levein’s side with a goal and an assist.

Kuhn’s assist for Kyogo Furuhashi’s opener, in particular, was a moment of genius with his vision to find the Japanese striker.

He is finding his strength and his confidence.

“Day-by-day in training you can see that and he was very aggressive in the one versus one situation and he made a great assist for the first goal.

“He was really creative and had good speed and he got a goal himself. That is the efficiency you want from your wide players.”

Kuhn may have had a slow start to life at Celtic, but if today’s game is anything to go by, we are in for a treat in the coming months.

With the Scottish Premiership title race very much on, the German may very well prove to be the difference-maker with his creativity and ability to score goals.

  1. Kuhn starting to really looking like a very decent player in the making.
Always a good sign from a wide player when they look very comfortable to go either side of a full back?
Getting decent options again in the wider areas, and playing well totally transforms our attacking play, and allows more space for kyogo to operate in also imo?
Consistency from Kuhn, along with many others within the team, should grow with the extra confidence our wider players are finally starting to show.
Who start on the right now between Kuhn and Yang possibly next time out, is the sort of tough decisions that you want to see in place within our team?
Starting to get that now in a few positions now, which hopefully grows when more players become available after injuries?
Still have by far the best squad in Scottish football still, and need to continue to prove so by showing the available quality on a more regular basis than we have shown for way too long this season imo?
