BRENDAN RODGERS has set the record straight after some ‘peepel’ who shall remain nameless have been getting carried away by the league table.
The Celtic manager praised his players and knows the only reason they’re not sitting atop of the SPFL table is strictly down to his club’s success.
The hysteria surrounding the Ibrox club hitting the summit of the league because Celtic were busy winning a trophy has been expectedly over the top.
Speaking ahead of the SPFL match against Motherwell on Wednesday night the Irishman praised his players.
?️ BR: "We're in a really good position as a team. We've won a cup and done well in Europe, therefore we've played less in the league."
— Celtic Football Club (@CelticFC) December 4, 2018
Translation: If you were as successful as we were you wouldn’t have gone top of the league.
Unlucky for some, there are no League medals given out in December.
Celtic have their game in hand which will come into play as well as the vast experience of being the team to beat.
The bhoys are just getting started this season and with another trophy under their belt they will be looking to secure the league title before too long.
