An incident during Celtic’s Scottish Premiership win over Hearts has reignited debates about the consistency of VAR in Scotland.
A video circulating on social media shows Dexter Lembikisa of Hearts making contact with Celtic’s James Forrest via a high boot.
Why aren’t Celtic going ballistic about the double standards? pic.twitter.com/KvQYfsnuec

The challenge bears a striking resemblance to a previous incident involving Celtic’s South Korean winger Yang, who received a red card for a similar high boot, though he was in control of the ball at the time.
The video has sparked discussions, especially since there was no recorded VAR review of Lembikisa’s challenge.
This lack of action comes just days after the SFA’s independent panel upheld the decision to send off Yang, stating that VAR did not make a mistake in that instance.
Former Celtic star Chris Sutton weighed in on the issue, referencing a Sunday’s Premier League match where Liverpool’s Joe Gomez was not sent off for a high boot. Sutton remarked that “Common sense prevailed” in the Gomez case.
Because James never fell down friening injury?
Var never noticed Yang’s hi boot, but the cun7z viewing the game did. Then did a spurtscene rewind, then contacted the Minb.
Hence the misuse of the Var system/’what the butler saw’ viewer.
