Celtic were 4-2 victors on Flag Day as goals from Kyogo, David Turnbull, and Matt O’Riley ensured the Hoops’ went home with all three points. Despite their midweek absence, the focus was on the Green Brigade pre-match this afternoon.
The Ultras group unveiled a banner before kick-off. Albeit it took a while to come through and be seen, it was rather impressive when it eventually did:
What looked like a top hat had smoke coming out of the top of it. When the smoke cleared, all three trophies the Hoops won last season could be seen. The words “We’re Magic” could also be read in the middle of the display.
The Green Brigade have received a fair amount of criticism for their recent actions. The group were absent for James Forrest’s testimonial on Tuesday evening and didn’t seem too happy with the appointment of Brendan Rodgers.
Their display on Saturday, though, was welcomed. It was a fine example of the Ultras group’s productive work. It’s all about getting behind the team and going forward as one to ensure we have the best season possible.
