CELTIC take on Livingston at 3pm this afternoon in a tie which kicks off the hectic festive schedule.

Neil Lennon’s men return to action nearly two weeks after their last game. During the international break, we found out there were going to be some returns to the squad. Leigh Griffiths being the most notable one of the bunch.

However, the provisional squad put out by Celtic also has Mikey Johnston in it at the moment. This could change if the player isn’t up to it on the day but the midfielder might be looking to go straight back into the team this afternoon with Mohamed Elyounoussi out injured.

Johnston hasn’t played for Celtic since going off injured during the 2-0 win at Ibrox back at the start of September. Could Neil Lennon be tempted to put him back in or will Scott Sinclair get a recall even though he wasn’t on the provisional squad list for today? Will the Celtic manager have a change of heart and bring the Englishman back into the fold?

There’s also the option of playing Jonny Hayes in his more natural position and leave left-back to either a returning Bolingoli or Greg Taylor.
