CELTIC won the game deep into stoppage time on Sunday at Dens Park but there was no getting away from the fact Bobby Madden had refused Celtic a stonewall penalty in the first half. The whistler told Scott Sinclair to get up after he was pulled down in the box and replays show it should have been a penalty.
It was that much of a penalty even Kris Boyd told the Sky Sports studio Bobby Madden had got it wrong along with James McFadden and Kris Commons.
Celtic had to keep going until the end but it’s yet another flashpoint for the whistler who seems to have an issue with handing Celtic a penalty when they deserve one. The Leigh Griffiths penalty shout at Celtic Park against The Rangers being the worst of the lot!
Thanks to Odsonne Edouard, the decision didn’t matter but officials need to have a word with themselves at this point. If Kris Boyd is backing Celtic’s claim, you know you’ve gone wrong somewhere!
