MARIAN SHVED finally made his competitive debut for the club on Tuesday night when he came on as a late substitute in Celtic’s win over Kalju.

Not only did the Ukranian make his debut but he scored not long after coming on for the bhoys. A thumping effort by Shved made it 2-0 on the night and 7-0 on aggregate.

The attacking midfielder has announced himself to the Celtic fans and they were delighted with his efforts. The feeling is mutual because after last night’s game the midfielder praised the Celtic support.

“I was delighted when it hit the net, I think you could see that from my celebration and I love the Celtic fans.” Shved told CelticTV.

Shved was signed by Brendan Rodgers or Lee Congerton depending on who you believe. The player joined up in January but went straight back out on loan to Karpaty for the rest of the season. After a small injury in pre-season, it’s taken until now for the midfielder to make his mark, but he looks like he’s ready to go!
