CHARLIE NICHOLAS says he and Scottish football are sick to death of waiting for The Rangers evidence which will either show wrongdoing or completely expose the Ibrox club.
This has been going on for nearly a month, something has got to give.
The Scotsman reported today the Ibrox legal team will not release information until Thursday – pushing this further down the road.
Speaking to RecordSport, Nicholas believes the whole thing is a shambles:
“We are sick to death of waiting to see what evidence Rangers have.
“Then we had Murdoch MacLennan with his own Questions and Answers. You couldn’t make it up, as he tries to find himself some credibility. You have Neil Doncaster defending himself from the media but nobody can ask the real questions until we see this Rangers’ dossier.
“You also have reconstruction and I now believe that with the way everything is going on that it is the wrong time to look at it.
“If it does then it will be done for all the wrong reasons and not for the long-term benefits of our game.”
The Sky Sports man was hopeful Scotland could have a restart in the next month or two but he sees the desperation of some clubs in the league who are struggling financially and realises this doesn’t look possible.
“There are too many teams now looking for their money.
“Not enough people now want the season to be completed.
“I was hopeful a couple of weeks ago but since then there has been so much negativity and now it is all about the money.”
Celtic would be crowned champions if the league is called. The wait for the dossier by the Ibrox club might intentionally be withheld to stop a final decision from going ahead.
If there has been any wrongdoing, it should be dealt with. If there hasn’t, the Ibrox clubs position will be very weak going forward.
The liars and cheats are making up the fact they have something to say. Fakes always try to play their cards close to their chest. The rankers don’t have a legal team, they couldn’t afford one. Nae dossier, nae money, nae trophies, nae credibility, nae brains!
Not often I agree with Snorty Nic the fud but he’s right about reconstruction; this crisis may well kill some clubs, we’d be as well to just wait and sort it out in the aftermath. That’s assuming there’s still an appetite for it of course, which I suspect there won’t be.
How long are these fools allowed to make fools of Scottish football the other teams with a gripe because of relegation ( but that’s the nature of the game due to the situation) but the other mobs only problem is celtic getting 9 I A R and the hole of Scotland no it since this new club made an entrance back in 2012 have been nothing but trouble we really dont need this
There was no trouble when sevco were out of the picture, through no fault of anyone but themselves, by cheating, but as soon as they reapeared in the Prem. ,and because they are no longer top dogs, which Celtic are, they are causing all sorts of problem. The scum and shame of Scotland, and will soon be gone again too the lower reaches of Scottish football. Yes down the Swanee!! Yipeeeee.
Unfortunatly not. I’m certain I read back in the day that the five-way agreement or the rules of the then newly-formed SPFL have clauses that will allow them to parachute 3.0 into the top flight.
