Sky Sports are continuing their nonchalant approach to Scottish football during this summers world cup on their website.

The broadcasting giants who regularly take a pasting for their promotion of the Scottish game seem so underwhelmed by anything Scottish football.

It’s tiny little details but they all add up.

Before the Belgium vs Tunisia game yesterday, the broadcaster put out their website build up to the game. It profiled all the players involved and went quite in-depth, but when we got to Dedryk Boyata, it was a little less impressive.

The Celtic defender who has been at the club since 2015 and played the most games of his career for Celtic can be pictured on the sky sports website as not a Celtic player but a young Manchester City academy player.

The broadcaster’s will have a plethora of Boyata at Celtic images easily accessible which makes it laugh out loud ridiculous they can’t be bothered to update the player’s profile to reflect his career to date.

It’s only Scottish football though, so not to worry.

  1. It is not a blunder. It is quite deliberate.

Old Firmism is their single marketing tool for Scottish Football.

Because of the incredible imbalance of power in Glasgow, SS will do nothing to promote the green side.
