The prize money given out to clubs at the end of the season is something which is under the spotlight at the moment.

With eight games to go and the shutdown showing no signs of coming to an end, tough decisions must be made. The proposal to end the season where it is while hanging on a little longer for the Premiership looks in tatters.

The noise made by the Ibrox club who continually keep shouting for prize money being delivered but stress nobody can win or lose is a self-serving ploy.

So what is up for tabs and what would it mean to clubs who are currently starved of matchday revenue on a weekly basis?

The SPFL announced a record-breaking pot for this season’s SPFL with £25m to be shared out among the 42 members across Scotland. The percentage you receive all dependant on where you FINISH in the league.

With that in mind, here’s what every club would be looking at in terms of cash:

Some large sums of money, even the smaller amounts at the part time clubs is so vital. The need to have clarity and end the season in a cam and rationale manner has never been so important.

The Rangers have their own agenda, they want the money but they refuse to see Celtic crowned Champions, however, they are quite happy for the club to have the champions purse without the title.

It’s all very bizarre and petty.
