CHRIS SUTTON has admitted his excitement ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League group stage opener.

Celtic are hosting reigning champions Real Madrid in an 8 pm kick-off, and the former Celtic striker has tweeted his followers claiming he’s struggling to sleep with the excitement.

Many Celtic fans will be the same; the game on Tuesday night is stuck in everyone’s minds, with fans buzzing ahead of the match.

Since Saturday’s Glasgow Derby win, there has been a feel-good factor about the place, and many fans have grown confident ahead of kick-off. There’s no underestimating the challenge that lies ahead of the team, but with the no-fear football, Postecoglou’s side could surprise a few tonight.

Although, in saying that, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to many fans if Celtic did manage to pull off something spectacular tonight.

It’s a real test for the manager and his players, who are keen to find out what their true level is. Going up against the European champions and one of the best sides in the world could give an indicator of how far this team has come in the year since Ange took over.
