As the excitement of the Champions League season builds, Celtic fans find themselves in an unusual predicament.

Celtic Champions League

While many top European clubs, including the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, have already shared their official squad lists with their supporters, Celtic remains conspicuously silent.

The list, which would have been submitted to UEFA on September 4th, is neither available on the UEFA website nor has the club made any official announcements.

This lack of transparency has left fans puzzled and somewhat frustrated. The squad list is more than just a list of names; it’s a glimpse into the club’s strategy for the most prestigious club competition in European football. It would also shed light on Celtic’s injury situation, with the exact returns of Carter-Vickers and Nawrocki still unknown.

We have reached out to Celtic for a comment on the matter but have yet to receive a response.

Fans want to be in the know. They want to discuss, debate, and dissect the choices made by the management, with a few first-team players set to be dropped from the squad to reach UEFA’s rules.

  1. But it may also mean that they are giving one or two players time to see if they going be fit to go, but i am sure who ever gets picked it would be BR who would make the decision, and am also sure every player will give there all for Celtic everyone behind our manager and staff now they may take us all on journey where we have not been on in a long time….

  2. Board have let fans down by Not Showing Enough Ambition for Europe they’ll Net £40m Not including what we already have in the Bank…team are good enough to dominate Scottish football but forget Europe so Embarrasing we won’t even pay £10m -15m for a player Goalscorer wins games if kyogo gets injured we panic…if Ccv is out we panic if Hart is out we have no reliable keeper

  3. Kyogo is worth a lot more than £10-£15m and I think we paid around £4m. That is how to do it in our poorer league. Find new markets, buy quality at relatively low prices, develop and then either keep for ongoing results or sell to generate profit. We have excellent talent throughout the squad plus some some as yet unproved.l We have good support / replacement for CCV although he is our star centre back. I agree we need a quality goalkeeper for the long term. Paying inflated prices for decent but unspectacular players is ruining many clubs and isn’t for us.
