It has been a fantastic couple of months for Jeremie Frimpong. In what was just his fourth EVER professional football game he helped Celtic to a 5-2 victory in the semi-final of the League Cup.

The defender has gone from unknown to hit prospect since coming into the club on deadline day. Signing from Manchester City – the right back was expected to play for the developmental side but when Neil Lennon got the player into training he was quickly fast tracked to the first team.

Debuting in the earlier round of the League Cup against Partick Thistle, the young lad is fast becoming a fan favourite.

His energy and enthusiastic personality is making Jeremie popular among his teammate. As he continues the success the right-back the 18-year-old could be first choice by the end of this season.

It sounds like he’s loving it.
