Celtic target Fabricio Bruno has reiterated his desire to quit Cruzeiro with immediate effect through his lawyer.

Bruno has been linked with a move to Celtic this January but there are so many hurdles to clear for that to happen.

The midfielder has taken his current club to court over unpaid wages. His lawyer states that’s there’s no chance of his client being paid his contractually obligated wages because the clubs can’t even afford to pay their chefs.

With that the contract is being challenged with the Brazilian club clearly in breach of the conditions.

Celtic could land the player for nothing but his club are desperately trying to get a fee for their player.

His lawyer, Joao Chiminazzo, has demanded the contract is terminated as reported by RecordSport: “There is no prospect of matters improving in Cruzeiro and no prospect of the late salary arriving.

“This is a club remember who cannot even afford to pay their cooks at the moment.

“The situation of the club is that there is no chance of payment of wage arrears

“The debt will only increase with the complainant, Fabricio Bruno, unable to get a get a new job until this situation is resolved.”

Celtic have a big transfer window coming up when they will look to add to their talented squad. It’s not only the problems with Bruno’s contact that’s an issue, also the matter of a work permit to play in the UK would be difficult to attain with the player not having an international pedigree.
