UEFA.com have dropped the calendar for next season’s Champions League and we know exactly when Celtic will start their qualifiers and when the draw will be made.
The Hoops will enter the competition at the second round and will be in via the non-Champions route.
Meaning the club are in for some very tough ties – even tougher than the last few season where they have been sent crashing out of the competition.
The Champions League second round draw will take place on June 16 and will the Bhoys a month to prepare for the challenge ahead.
The second round ties are to be played over two legs on 20/21 July and 27/28 July.
The enormity of the task to qualify under the current circumstances should not be lost on anyone.
We’re probably in our worst position to qualify in a long time. A major rebuild taking place while these fixtures go on is not ideal but it’s where we’re at.
Let’s hope we can have a good crack at it when the time comes. While many might be leaving the club before the end of the next window, we could still have a lot of those players come the qualifiers.
