Celtic fans will be delighted to hear UEFA will be advising away fans they WILL be allowed to travel to European away games this season – as long as local laws permit.

The governing body have been mulling over the inclusion of away fans to the games in all UEFA competitions. That encompasses the Champions League, Europa League and the newly formed Conference league.

Celtic have away ties in Germany, Spain and Hungary coming up before the end of the year and the Hoops will be delighted a travelling support could be inside stadiums to support them.

The news came from a Sky Sports reporter who claims this announcement is set to be made.

We went a whole football season without having any fans in. Home fans getting in was the priority – but now the atmosphere can be even better with travelling fans.

That also potentially means away supporters inside Celtic Park for these ties.

  1. Aye that makes perfect sense we’re already struggling to get the Covid numbers down, our NHS is at breaking point. as long as the fans get to go to the continent and bring possible other variants back. Ffs football and foreign travel are luxuries without putting further people in jeopardy. It’s utter selfishness for anyone to travel and risk the whole population’s health. I know football is a business but nobody from Scotland should be leaving the country with the state it’s in. We got back into grounds providing we try to minimise the health risks yet barely a supporter wears a mask. Do they not care about other people’s health? Why do you think the cases of covid are rising? It’s not rocket science stay home and save lives or risk overrunning the already overworked health professionals.

  2. People know the risks Tommy. Stay inside and maybe avoid covid. But you’ll still ever dodge the reaper. Fans coming back are a welcome site.
