CELTIC PARK was rocking as Celtic kicked off their domestic season on Sunday. The hosts didn’t leave second gear as they overcame Aberdeen 2-0, picking up where they left it last season.

An early goal from Stephen Welsh was followed up by a stunning strike from Jota, who’s scored every time he’s faced Aberdeen.

The crowd were superb throughout the evening match. Fans in fine voice followed a brilliant full stadium tifo throughout the entire ninety as they took up their seats for the first time this season.

Many were left talking about the amazing atmosphere; Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was no different.

As quoted by CeltsAreHere writer Declan McConville, Ange praised the support, admitting their always creating a special atmosphere.

“The crowd were unbelievable. You’ll never walk alone is outstanding and spine tingling. The thing about our supporters, they’re always on it mate.

“We’ve just got to make sure we match it with our performance every week.”

The YNWA Celtic Debate

Many Celtic fans have voiced their frustration about the Gerry and the Pacemakers song being played weekly at Parkhead

There’s nothing more special than a packed-out Paradise singing You’ll Never Walk Alone, with fans arguing that the iconic tune should be used for Derbies, special occasions and European nights only.

There was also a rousing rendition of Grace on Sunday, a song we’d happily see played at Celtic Park more.
