CELTIC produced one of those special nights in Paradise on Thursday night as the team came from a goal down against Lazio to win 2-1 on the evening.

The supporters were hungry and up for it from the start and so were the players. Not playing to their full potential but not looking lost against a very technical Serie A side.

It would be Lazio who made the breakthrough in the first half and have Celtic chasing the game. Some big performances – especially from Fraser Forster kept Celtic within touching distance after that.

It would then be Ryan Christie’s moment to resume his outstanding start to the season when Edouard played him in. The Lazio defenders thought Christie was going to set himself before shooting and so did the goalkeeper but his quick shot caught everyone off guard and wrongfooted the Lazio stopper.

Chris Sutton’s live commentary still resonating this morning with the Celtic support; ‘Unstoppable, Undroppable’, we’d have to agree.

It would be then Fraser Forster again making a big save at 1-1 with 10 minutes to go before Celtic would push for the winner. In the 89th minute a Celtic corner found an unmarked Christopher Jullien who headed it home, sending the Celtic Support into raptures.

One last moment of magic came with virtually the last kick of the ball when a fizzing shot was destined to smash the back of the Celtic net only for Fraser Forster to come up with an outstanding save. Chris Sutton said it on the night – he had no right to save the shot.
