FILIP BENKOVIC got his first goal for the club today and declared himself ‘proud’ at being a part of this Celtic team.
The big man has taken to the club in a big way since coming in late August and as well as being a rock at the back he got on the scoresheet against Hearts in what was a demolition.
Celtic ran out 5-0 winners and with Edouard’s stunning effort to put Celtic ahead the Croatian under 21 piled on the misery by getting on the end of a Celtic corner and smashing it into the back of the net.
Celtic fans couldn’t believe it because corner kicks have been a point of frustration for this side who can be very fluent on the ball but fail to deliver from a corner.
Speaking after the game, Celtic’s 12million Loan man from Leicester looks and sounds very happy at the club.
