VICTOR WANYAMA has told Fraser Forster to keep his Celtic number warm…for now, the big Geordie keeper has revealed.
After re-signing with the club earlier this week he took Victor’s old number ’67’ and the keeper admitted Victor was quick to contact him.
When asked about the number choice Forster said: “I picked it, yeah. Victor was straight on me saying ‘keep my shirt warm for a bit!” He told Celtic TV.
Wanyama is currently in talks to leave Tottenham for Brugge but nothing is finalised at the moment.
Celtic fans would love to see Victor come back in and play for the club. Financially, we just can’t match his wages elsewhere.
The big man has spoken before about one day returning to Celtic. It would be phenomenal to get the player in for a second spell in the next few years.
If Lennon wants to sign him this window, I’m sure Fraser wouldn’t mind giving up his squad number.
