GERRY McCULLOCH had Celtic fans in stitches at the weekend after taking a dig a the biggest joke in Scottish football – Tav Pen!

Celtic beat their Glasgow rivals 2-1 at Hampden on Sunday to retain their League Cup trophy and make it six wins in the last seven seasons in the competition.

The game was a tense affair but Celtic always had the edge over the Ibrox side.

When The Rangers got a free kick just outside Celtic’s area, the Celtic TV Commentator couldn’t resist this wee dig.

McCulloch revealing the ball was a bit further out than usual for Tavernier’s favourite set piece.

It’s an ongoing joke in Scottish football, if there’s a game involving the Ibrox club, Tavernier usually gets a spot kick at some point during proceedings.

Some even refer to him as Tav-Pen. Simply put, the Ibrox captain wouldn’t have half the career goals he has if he played for any other side besides Rangers.

Celtic have been revelling in their win and enjoying the moment. It came after weeks of trash talking from the opposition who couldn’t back up their noise when it mattered.
